Michigan Shakespeare Festival

Educational Outreach

While the Michigan Shakespeare Festival's main focus is its summer productions, the Festival also has a series of programs designed to spread the wonder of Shakespearean theater.

High School Monologue Contest

An annual, late-winter event in which high school students present brief Shakespeare monologues with a chance to win prizes, scholarships and performance opportunities. For information, call the Festival office at (517) 788-5032, or toll-free (866) 705-2636.

YMCA Day Camp

Each year the Jackson YMCA sponsors a trip to a special performance of the Festival's family show. Children get a chance to watch the play and meet with the actors afterwards.
